Christmas Break
2011.12.28 - Wednesday
It's always great to have the days between Christmas and New Year's off work. It's such a good opportunity to relax and organize for the coming year. I had a great Christmas, apart from eating way too many chocolates and cookies. I think I was given enough new books to last about five years, considering how rarely I'll pick one up to read it. First on the list is Mark Steyn's latest, "After America". I got through the first chapter on Christmas day, and I can tell it's going to be a fantastically depressing, cynical, and entertaining read. Looking forward to it!
I've added a few images to the gallery from the second season of "Stargate Universe". Not a whole lot, just a few of my favourites. We actually did quite a few shots that year, but a lot of them feel the same or didn't make for the best stills, so I've really cut it down as far as the gallery goes. I'd like to add some stuff from some of last year's projects, but unfortunately most of them aren't released or aren't broadcast shows.
We also found out that Atmosphere Visual Effects was awarded a new TV series for next year, so I'm definitely excited to begin working on it. It's also great to know that there's going to be steady, and interesting, work through 2012. It's great not to go into Christmas with uncertainty.
I'm looking forward to 2012. Should be a great year. Especially at the end when the world doesn't end and we can rub it in the crazies' faces!
